When the settlers came to North America in the 1600s they needed people ready for action. Ready to explore the unknown, ready to work hard to make a home. They needed explorers like John Smith.
Of course, North America was already a settled land full of Native Americans, but to the newly arriving Europeans it was a whole new world! Dang. Wrong movie. Alright, we'll try again: Explorers like John Smith had to be inquisitive and open if they ever wanted to paint with all the colors of the wind! Alright, right movie, but we don't exactly know what that means. Sounds beautiful though! Like rainbows and leaves and jumping deer! Or something.
Regardless of where you land on the wind-painting spectrum, we're sure you can appreciate John Smith from the movie Pocahontas and how hard he worked to set things right.
