There are many reasons someone may call for the services of a skilled bug catcher, but the most common is probably because there's a bug in need of catching. That sounds ridiculously obvious, but seriously, how good are you at catching creepy crawlies all by yourself? If there is a particularly clever insect buzzing around your home, an experienced bug catcher will take care of it. And unless you’re a pro (or a very enthusiastic amateur) you probably don’t have the proper equipment needed to trap the most elusive insects out there. You’ll need a net to do the catching, a brimmed hat with netting around it to keep your quarry from flying up your nose, and a khaki shirt, because if there’s any color that commands respect from the insect kingdom, it’s khaki.
